- Supported Device Features: Display which device features are supported by a device in the IEM UI, Device Details section: GPU assignment, CPU assignment, NIC assignment.
- Resource Metadata: Display additional resource metadata information in the local device UI for CPU and network devices.
- Device Memory Space: Consideration of an application's reserved memory to enable more efficient use of an edge device's memory space.
- Device Memory Usage: Monitor memory usage and receive notifications when memory usage reaches critical levels in the device UI.
- Secure Storage: Device applications can use secure storage to protect sensitive data.
- Log Settings: File-based log settings can now be edited directly in the IEM. Changes are synchronized bidirectionally.
- Device Login Flow: Automatic redirect to login page when opening application via url link.
- Management Applications: Introduction of management applications to unify the handling of device and management application types. Migration of configurators to management application types.
- Industrial Edge State Service: Device settings are included in backups (e.g. Log Settings, Edge Management Timers, etc.).
- Industrial Edge State Service: Configuration of an external storage location for backups (e.g. customer managed Amazon S3).
Update strategy¶
We recommend that you always upgrade to the next higher version first, even if multiple updates are required.
